Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was released in the U.S. on December 14, 2018 and was directed by Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman, and Bob Persichetti. This was definitely very different and one of the best Marvel movies ever.
The story follows Miles Morales as he is bitten by a radioactive spider. He has to learn how to be spider-man and learn all of the responsibilities that come with it. He then discovers that there are other spider people coming from other dimensions. The rest of the movie is his fight to get all of them back to their original homes.
The spider people were Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, John Mulaney as Spider-Ham, Kimiko Glenn as Peni Parker, and Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir. All of the voices were very well done and they all fit their characters well.
The main thing that I liked about this movie was just the craziness of it. Throughout the movie you keep getting introduced to new spider people which at times is very funny. They’re very unconventional characters and I think that works well for this movie. The characters were all very funny while each still fitting into the story in their own way. The next great thing about this film were the animations. At the beginning of the movie I thought that they looked a little weird, however after about 10 minutes I became adjusted and I thought it was really cool. Next, the soundtrack was really awesome. The song selections were perfect and each song was put into the exact right spot in the movie to accompany the scene that was taking place. Finally, the pacing of this movie was just amazing. I was never bored as there was always something interesting taking place.
I honestly don’t have any negative feelings about this movie. Everything was put together nicely and there really wasn’t a dull moment. I think that anyone can enjoy this movie no matter if they are 10 or 50 years old. It is just very entertaining and a great piece of cinema.
Rating– 9.5 out of 10 on the scale of awesomeness. What a great movie filled with lots of laughs and action.
